EmTech Asia takes place this week in Singapore: I will be watching closely hoping to be inspired by the innovation on show.
EmTech Asia brings together the best and brightest minds from around the world to exhibit the latest advances in emerging technologies. From seed-stage companies developing revolutionary new technologies in medicine, to firms breaking down boundaries in machine learning and advanced robotics, the very cutting edge of business will descend on Singapore. It promises to be a celebration of human ingenuity.
On a personal level, I have nothing but admiration for the precocious talent on display. The event will honour 10 innovators under the age of 35 from across the region, whose inventions and research have world changing potential. They are an inspiration to us all.
Indeed, the spirit of innovation that they embody is contagious. It drives entrepreneurs to look at their own business and seek ways to improve. Whether your business is run out of your garage or across continents, that entrepreneurial drive is essential.
At Kusto, we have had success in recent years by constantly striving to improve and embed cutting edge technology wherever we can. Our decisions to expand into new markets, notably into Vietnam, required a bold vision for the business. When I moved to Ho Chi Minh City in 2011 to lead our expansion there, I did so with the courage of my convictions.
However, EmTech Asia reminds us of the need to keep our eyes firmly fixed on the future. Kusto’s enduring success depends on us embracing new technologies in advanced construction and manufacturing and leveraging the power of big data to refine our business practices. Since Kusto’s inception, we have always sought to take risks and try things that others have not. It is crucial that we maintain this ethos and seize the possibilities afforded by new technologies in the years to come.
I will be keeping a close eye on the EmTech Asia conference to ensure Kusto Group is staying ahead of the game on technological innovation.
