Kazpetrol Group made it to the top 50 largest companies in Kazakhstan (Forbes)
The oil production company Kazpetrol Group has been ranked among the top 50 largest private companies in Kazakhstan by Forbes Kazakhstan. In 2021, the company's net profit stood at KZT 11.23 bn, a staggering 7.3 times increase from the previous year. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, including economic hardships and quarantine restrictions, the company's total revenue saw a growth of 43.4%.
Kazpetrol Group is a subsidiary of the international conglomerate Kusto Group. The company operates in the Kyzylorda and Karaganda regions, employing over 600 people, including those from contracting organisations. Kazpetrol Group specialises in the search, exploration and development of oil fields, subsequently selling the crude oil in both international and domestic markets. In 2021, the total amount of oil extracted reached 330,000 tons.
