Kusto Logistics Management: A new major player in the logistics market of Kazakhstan

In February 2024, Kusto Logistics Management LLP, part of the international holding Kusto Group, acquired a controlling stake in the Kazakh logistics company MKS Logystics LLP. This transaction allows Kusto Group to enter the Kazakhstan logistics services market as a major participant.

MKS Logystics LLP is one of the market leaders and for 15 years has been providing a wide range of outsourcing logistics services for acceptance, processing, storage and transportation of cargo (3PL+ format) for large companies in the market of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The company operates in 16 warehouse complexes with a total area of more than 200 thousand square meters, located in the cities of Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Aktobe and Tashkent.

In January 2024, the parties invested in increasing the equity capital of MKS Logystics LLP for business development, including expanding the range of logistics services, local transport, introducing innovative technologies in logistics, modernizing the WMS (Warehouse Management System) IT platform, fulfillment services, etc.

As part of this partnership, Kusto Group will bring successful international experience, which will help the company reach a new level of development, ensure financial reliability and stability, which will certainly affect customer confidence.

In the second half of 2023, Kusto Logistics Management LLP invested in the development of long-haul logistics services through its subsidiary Kusto Logistics LLP, which is already successfully developing and owns 190 fitting platforms for container transportation. In the future, it is planned to expand our own rolling stock fleet to increase local and international rail and road transportation, as well as develop industrial logistics services.

The strategic goal of Kusto Logistics Management LLP is to create a unified ecosystem that will include mainline railway and road transportation and local logistics, integrated through the infrastructure of warehouses and railways terminals.

For infrastructure development during 2024-2026 it is planned to build our own logistics centers in large cities of Kazakhstan, consisting of container terminals, class A++, B+ warehouses with a total area of more than 100,000 sq. m. with temporary storage areas, fulfillment centers with advanced technologies, equipment and automation systems.

All this will make it possible to make available to customers a wide range of logistics services using the best advanced technologies and standards, which, in general, will increase the level of their quality, range and give push to the development of the logistics industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
